Welcome

There is a little known, but hugely important, justice system that impacts all our daily lives; this is administrative justice. It includes the law of public body decision-making, the methods we can use to resolve disputes with public bodies, and how those disputes can be learnt from to improve future decisions.

Our research examines all the aspects of this system in Wales; from initial decision-making in public bodies, to internal review and complaint procedures, and external methods of redress such as courts, tribunals, the Ombudsman and Commissioners. Our aim is to make recommendations to ensure that the Welsh system is clear, coherent, consistent and accessible, and contributes to the goals of a fairer and more equal Wales.
